05th August 2022 – Pacific Children & Youth Consultation – MTR Sendai Framework

The Pacific Resilience Partnership (PRP) Youth Working Group, with support from UNDRR and the PRP Support Unit is hosting the ‘Pacific Children and Youth Consultation for the Mid Term Review (MTR) of the Sendai Framework (SF). 

The Pacific children and youth consultation on the MTR SF will seek to complement and link into the MTR review process in the Pacific both at the regional and national level and will seek to contribute to the national voluntary reviews. A key element of gauging Pacific youths and children’s’ input in the lead up to the APMCDRR is taking part in the Mid Term Review (MTR) of the Sendai Framework (SF).  

The objectives of the consultation will be as follows; 

1. To engage Pacific children’s and youths in the Sendai Framework (SF) Mid Term Review (MTR) and reinforcing the PRM youth outcome statement in the lead up to APMCDRR. 
2. To inform the Pacific MTR process through gauging young people’s input on the success and challenges of the SF implementation. 
3. Generate key areas of recommendations to further strengthen the SF implementation. 

In light of this, it is with much pleasure that we would like to invite one youth representative from your organization / one representative from children organization to attend and participate in the consultation.  

The event will be held at Suva’s Holiday Inn on Friday 05 August 2022.
